Jean-Bernard Franken

Coming from a musical background, both parents being musicians in orchestras, Jean-Bernard Franken got acquainted with classical music at an early age. During the many visits at the Nederlandse Opera his passion for vocal music began. While studying German Literature at Leiden University and Humboldt-Universität Berlin, he sang in several choirs at university and with the Nederlands Concertkoor. After graduating (MA) he worked as a teacher at several grammar schools in and around Amsterdam. In 2007 he also started working as secretary to vocal coach Margreet Honig. Starting in 2008 Jean-Bernard worked as a production manager at Het Concertgebouw for two years, taking care of the logistics of several concert series. Since January 2010 he started working as artists manager at Interartists Amsterdam, focusing mainly on the vocal department of the agency.
