With pride we can announce violinist Rosanne Philippens will join Interartists Amsterdam with immediate effect.
In 2008, before her final exam, Rosanne already won the Kersjes Prize for most talented violinist. In 2009 Rosanne graduated from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague summa cum laude and she won the Dutch National Violin Competition (Oskar Back). From 2011 till 2014 Rosanne studied at the Hans Eisler Akademie, again graduating with the highest possible marks. Last fall Rosanne won the International Competition Freiburg.
Rosanne performed with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Strings under Yannick Nézet-Ségiun, under with Xian Zhang, Stefan Asbury, Martin Sieghart and with orchestras like the Hermitage State Orchestra Sint Petersburg, the Pforzheim Kammerorchester, the Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg, the Limburgs Symphony Orchestra and with the Flemish Orchestra.
With Xian Zhang and the NJO Rosanne recorded the Szymanowsky 1st violin concerto on Channel Classics. The CD was completed with works for violin and piano by Szymanowsky and received international critical acclaim.
Julien Quentin is Rosanne’s regular chamber music partner. Julien has worked with Gautier Capuçon, Vilde Frang and Yuja Wang.
The 2015-16 season will see Rosanne with the North Netherlands Orchestra, The Hague Philharmonic Orchestra, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonisches Orchester Freiburg, three times at the Canal Festival, at the festivals of Janine Jansen, Jean-Guihen Queras and Guy Braunstein, at the Concertgebouw and many more.
On personal recommendation of Janine Jansen Rosanne plays the “Barrere” Stradivarius from the Elise Mathilde Foundation, the violin that Janine Jansen used to play for the past fifteen years.
