Rozemarijn Tiben joins the Interartists Amsterdam team as an artist managerSeptember 8th 2020
As of last week, Rozemarijn Tiben joins Hylke van Lingen and Leontien van der Vliet at Interartists Amsterdam as an artist manager. She will be developing the vocal & opera roster. Initially, she will be taking care of baritone Raoul Steffani and conductor Pieter-Jelle de Boer, and more artists are soon to be announced.
Rozemarijn is joining us from Intermusica Artists Management in London where she worked as an Associate Artist Manager. She previously worked for Alferink Artists Management and the Grote Zangers series in Amsterdam, and for the Venetian Centre for Baroque Music in Venice. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in musicology and three master’s degrees in Business and Arts Management from Utrecht University, l’École Supérieure de Commerce Paris and Ca’ Foscari University of Venice. She speaks Dutch, English, French, German and Italian.
From 2016-2020 she was president of Juvenilia, the Network of Young Opera Friends, which recently came second in the European Charlemagne Youth Prize for "developing a common European spirit through the arts, specifically through opera." She is passionate about Italian culture and cuisine and Renaissance and Baroque art.
The arrival of Rozemarijn as our new staff member marks an important period of growth, that Interartists Amsterdam is currently going through, with more exciting new projects to be announced very soon so keep an eye on your inbox.
"After two years in London, where I worked as an associate artist manager for Intermusica Artists Management, it is a joy to come home in Amsterdam, where I have previously worked for Alferink Artists Management and the Grote Zangers series. I am very excited to join Interartists Amsterdam, where Hylke and Leontien have given me the opportunity to develop their vocal & opera roster.
A carte blanche!
This has been a dream of mine since I started working in artist management. I adore working with artists, being a supportive presence in their lives, and being able to take their career to the next level, so I feel fortunate that I now have the chance to pick my own artistic company for the near future.
By the way, my carte is not entirely blanche: I am very proud to be representing conductor Pieter-Jelle de Boer and baritone Raoul Steffani at this key point in their careers!
We have decided to call my department 'vocal & opera' as I plan to work mostly with singers, but also with a few conductors, stage directors and who knows - a dramaturge?
I will be operating worldwide: with my language skills and a video connection or by train/airplane, places such as Paris, Vienna and Moscow are suddenly surprisingly close. My credo is that a border is not a limit.
Especially in these times during which we hear less live music than normal, I believe there are many other aspects of the artists that need attention. I am fascinated by online presence and personal branding, work ethos, new revenue models and of course the exploration of new repertoire, and will happily support my artists in all of these areas."
