In this dynamic role, you'll be the right-hand person to our Artist Manager Vocal & Opera, supporting a roster of internationally acclaimed singers and conductors. Think jet-setting schedules, handling opera contracts, and making sure everything runs smoothly for our world-class artists. You'll lend a hand with general administrative tasks, keeping the department humming.

Location: remote working. Occasional meetings in Amsterdam and Paris.

Hours: full-time

Salary: dependent on experience

What we're looking for:

  • Education & Background: A degree (or equivalent experience) in music, cultural management, or a related field will equip you with a strong foundation. If you have at least one year of experience in the classical music industry, that's a plus. We're also open to experience in related fields like orchestra management, music publishing, or production.

  • Knowledge & Skills: You have a deep appreciation for classical music and opera, with a strong understanding of the needs of both artists and promoters. Your knowledge of vocal and classical repertoire will be invaluable. You're a master communicator, able to express yourself clearly and concisely in writing and English conversation, with excellent diplomatic skills. Bonus points if you can also speak French, Spanish, German, Dutch, or any other language relevant to the international classical music scene. Being geographically savvy is also a huge asset.

  • Work Style & Personality: We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and can handle multiple tasks with ease. The ability to prioritize, stay calm under pressure, and solve problems creatively is a must. You thrive in a collaborative environment and have a natural ability to build strong relationships. Most importantly, you possess a helicopter view, allowing you to see the bigger picture and ensure all the intricate parts of productions run smoothly.

 

What you will be doing:

Artist Schedules & Coordination:

  • Manage a centralized online calendar for assigned artists, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

  • Collaborate with managers to keep artist schedules current and reflect all commitments.

  • Create detailed artist itineraries, including clear information for each event.

  • Develop and distribute schedules to collaborating partners (record labels, agents, PR).

  • Organize rehearsals and practice sessions with venues, musicians, and other collaborators.

Contract & Financial Management:

  • Process artist contracts efficiently and accurately, ensuring all details are addressed.

  • Generate comprehensive financial documents (invoices, reports) with clear tax implications and commission structures.

Marketing & Public Relations Support:

  • Contribute to crafting compelling website content and artist biographies.

  • Collaborate with the communications team on social media campaigns.

  • Prepare and distribute press kits and marketing materials to relevant outlets.

  • Monitor and share artist reviews.

Travel & Logistics:

  • Secure optimal travel arrangements and accommodations for artists, considering budget and preferences.

  • Obtain necessary visas and work permits for international tours.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Assist managers with internal and external meetings.

  • Maintain awareness of travel, immigration, and tax regulation updates.

  • Facilitate communication between promoters and artist/agent regarding complimentary tickets.
